Meet Jessica Means

Jessica Means is a farmer, small business owner, mother of six, grandmother of two, and a County Commissioner proudly serving Sullivan County.
She believes leadership should look less like politics and more like service — grounded in faith, family, hard work, and personal responsibility.
As the first in her family to graduate college, Jessica understands the value of determination and creating opportunity for the next generation. Those values guide both her life and her leadership.
Jessica and her family operate a working farm and local businesses rooted in stewardship, self-reliance, and community. As an entrepreneur and health and wellness instructor, she understands the everyday challenges families and small business owners face — because she lives them herself.
She didn’t run for office to become a politician; she stepped up to solve problems.
Today, Jessica serves in several key leadership roles on the County Commission. She was elected by her fellow commissioners to serve on the Finance Management Committee — one of only four members selected — helping oversee budgeting and fiscal accountability. She also serves as Chairman of the Administration Committee, Chairman of the Health Council, and is a member of the Education Committee, Opioid Abatement Advisory Committee, and Agricultural Committee, working to strengthen schools, support farmers, improve public health, and address the addiction crisis impacting local families.
Now, she’s running for State Representative to bring that same steady, values-based leadership to the Tennessee General Assembly — fighting for working families, farmers, small businesses, and responsible government that lives within its means.
Because Tennessee doesn’t need more career politicians.
It needs neighbors who lead.
